Some suggested that, Motorola is still having trouble with creating a complete version of Gingerbread to please Verizon. Earlier there were rumors that Android 2.3 update for X Droid with low efficiency has caused Verizon to stop completely upgrade the equipment by Motorola to Gingerbread, which includes Global Droid 2.
This Website also said Motorola Droid 3 may allow direct order on 7 / 7 and are placed on shelves of retail stores next week. This means that users Droid 2 will be updated to Android 2.3 after 14 / 7.
