AT&T Customers Ask – Where’s the Amazon App Store?

image
Since news broke that Amazon would soon have an ‘app store’ available to the Android community, we’ve posted a few articles on the development. I guess the ‘dark side’ of AT&T strikes again, and at the expense of their customers. Since the Amazon App Store has been available for download, AT&T Android device users have been unable to use it. Why you ask? Come on, I thought you guys would know this by now. AT&T does not allow installation of apps that are not regulated through the Android market. So what I’m saying is any Android Package file (.apk) that you may find on a site, or thru a third party app store, your out of luck.
But there is a light at the end of the tunnel…..Just maybe. AT&T is working with Amazon to resolve this issue, at least for the Amazon App Store specifically. AT&T has provided a form for its customers to fill out, submitting their email address and phone model so they can be notified when the Amazon App Store will be available.

So if you’re an AT&T customer, go ahead and fill this form out. Let us know what you think of this Amazon App Store and being restricted from using it for the time being in the comments. As for now, I’m going to go back to playing Angry Birds RIO that I downloaded from the Amazon App Store, on my Sprint HTC Evo 4G
