Motorola announced Xoom – The first computer spreadsheet to run Android 3.0

Finally have confirmation of the first tablet PC running Android 3.0 “Honeycomb. ”
In quarter 1 / 2011, tablet (MTB) Motorola Xoom will appear with Verizon’s network. Price has not been announced. Motorola announced its MTB only a few minutes before T-Mobile announced the news of their first MTB Honeycomb (manufactured by LG Electronics).

Like many MTB was introduced this week, Xoom run two NVIDIA’s Tegra platform, with dual 1GHz processors. Xoom will have 10.1-inch screen (~ 26.5 cm), resolution 1280 x 800, 1GB RAM and 32GB of user memory on the motherboard (plus an SD card slot). And of course, it will run Android 3.0 “Honeycomb” has been optimized for MTB.


Xoom weighs 726g (iPad heavier than the first generation of Apple 45g), has dimensions of 25 x 17 x 1.3 cm (thickness of Samasung Tab iPad and Galaxy).
Xoom integrated Bluetooth wireless connectivity, 802.11n Wi-Fi, 3G (can be upgraded to support LTE 4G), with accelerometers and gyroscopes. MTB 5-megapixel camera with flash back, 720p video and can upload videos and photos directly to YouTube, Picasa, and Facebook. 2-megapixel front camera support video chat. Xoom though only 720p video playback, but can at 1080p resolution.
Motorola said that Xoom will have the Bluetooth wireless keyboard (but did not provide details on this), Speaker Speaker Dock and HD output for TV.
